Ziwa Alexander Katz Obituary (1916 - 2010)

Ziwa Alexander Katz, age 94, of Minnetonka, passed away December 16th in Ann Arbor, MI. Ziwa was born in Vyzounos, Lithuania and was a Holocaust survivor. She immigrated to the United States in 1950. She was a professional volunteer in her beloved Beth El Synagogue as well as many other Jewish charitable organizations. Preceded in death by her husbands, Hyme Alexander and Nachum Katz. Survived by sons & daughters-in-law, Joe Alexander & Bridget Manahan, Neil Alexander & Paramjit Gill; grandchildren, Heidi, Carly, Tyler, Talia, Hannah and Miriam. Funeral services SUNDAY 1 PM, BETH EL SYNAGOGUE, 5224 W. 26th Street, St. Louis Park. Memorials preferred to the Ziwa Alexander Katz Ramah Scholarship Fund at Beth El Synagogue. SHIVA at Woodbine Condominiums in the Community Room, 13700 Sherwood Place, Minnetonka, Sunday evening 7 pm and at 6012 Schaefer Road, Edina, Monday evening 7 pm.
