Victor H. Deloya

Our father, Victor H Deloya, age 88, passed away peacefully on July 20 in Minneapolis, MN, surrounded by his children and grandchildren.

Victor was born in Casablanca, Morocco and called many places home, including Israel, Japan, Norway, and the United States. He traveled extensively throughout his life for both personal and professional reasons, mastering a number of languages and cultures.

He was a man who cared deeply for his family, his friends, and his faith. He lived a rich life with experiences that have inspired many. He took great pride in his leadership at the Moroccan Jewish Organization in NY, and remained an active member of Jewish faith communities wherever he lived. He loved to teach, often using stories and music to illustrate an important lesson and he was a gifted dancer.

Victor was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Marie, siblings, Ninette, Maurice, Magui and Juliette. He is survived by children Nili (Ramon), Andre (Eileen), Jeannette (Arthur), and Helene (William) Linden; grandchildren, Daniel Gimenez, Hailey Deloya-Vegter, Jacob Ross, Amanda Renneke, Jonas Ross, Eric, Luke and Sean Linden; and great-grandson Colby Vegter; brother, Amiram Deloya; sisters, Georgette Maayan and Esther Deloya.

Funeral service will take place at 1:00 pm SUNDAY, July 22nd at SHAREI CHESED CONGREGATION, 1712 Hopkins Crossroad, Minnetonka, MN 55305. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Sharei Chesed Congregation. SHIVA will be announced.
