The Great Tobini was a tough cookie and a loyal friend. She supported her children in all their endeavors, especially caring for Mark during his illness and standing up for people with AIDS when doing so was not popular. She made a mean triangle roast and had a snappy sense of humor. She loved shopping, playing tennis, dogs, smoking, playing cards, music and dancing, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and talking on the phone. Her feistiness, generosity of spirit, and outspoken personality will be missed by those who loved her. Deepest gratitude to all of the hardworking, loving, patient caregivers at Sholom East, Sholom Hospice, and especially her pals at Roitenberg Adult Day Center. Shiva will be 7:00 pm TUESDAY only, at Sholom Home East, 740 Kay Ave, St Paul, MN 55102. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Mark Jon Starr Fund at Jewish Family & Children's Service (JFCS), Sholom, or donor’s favorite charity.
