Terri C. Romanoff-Newman Obituary (1947 - 2020)

Terri Cheryl (Bauman) Romanoff-Newman, age 73, of Shorewood, Minnesota passed away December 18, 2020. Preceded in death by her father, Saul Bauman and mother, Irene Bauman. Terri is survived by her son, Michael Romanoff and his husband, Mark Romanoff, as well as her brother, Dr. Dennis Bauman and his wife, Pamela Bauman, and their adult children, Kirsten Tychonievich and Jon Bauman as well as Terri's domestic partner, Michael Garelick. Terri was born July 24, 1947 in Syracuse, New York. Terri earned a B.S in Elementary and Special Education from Toledo University, Ohio and then earned a Ph. D. in Psychology from Syracuse University, New York. Terri worked as a Special Education teacher and then as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist within her own practice. Terri had numerous personal qualities that made her so special and loved by so many people such as her deep empathy for others, unwavering love for her family, deep level of fairness and acceptance of others along with an infectious smile and unique sense of humor. Terri was deeply devoted to her mother. Following the death of her father she provided ongoing emotional support and logistical help with activities of daily living that greatly enhanced her mother's quality of life in her later years. Due to Covid-19, a celebration of Terri's life will take place at a later date.
