Rosaline Mae Mesnik Obituary (1927 - 2016)

Rosaline Mae Parasol Mesnik died peacefully at Sholom Home East in St. Paul on May 6, 2016. Roz was born February 21, 1927 in St. Paul and spent her lifetime serving others, from working in her parents’ store as a girl, to her time as a librarian and then as a travel agent. She will be missed by the many people she came to know in her daily life at work, in the Jewish community at Temple of Aaron and as a life member of Hadassah, and most of all, by her family. Preceded in death by husband, Steve Mesnik; parents, Henry and Lena Parasol; brother, Matthew Parasol. Survived by her daughter, Hannah Mesnik Kirschenfeld, and her husband, Paul Kirschenfeld, of Columbia, S.C.; her son, Matthew Mesnik, and his wife, Joan Summerside, of Golden Valley; her sister-in-law, Hilda Mesnik Sternberg of Houston, T.X.; and her grandchildren, Aaron Kirschenfeld and his wife, Debra Boxill, of Durham, N.C., Abby Mesnik of St. Louis Park, and Ellen Mesnik of Golden Valley. Funeral service MONDAY 10 AM at TEMPLE OF AARON SYNAGOGUE, 616 S. Mississippi River Blvd., St. Paul. Memorials preferred to Hadassah or Sholom Home East.
