Hopkins, Minnesota

Roberta Davis Hoffman, Minnetonka, born June 28, 1948, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 18th after several years of declining health and battling a rare form of Myositis.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Morris "Prof" Davis and Bea Roseman Davis; and her husband, Jay Frederick Hoffman.  Roberta is survived by her loving sons, Edward (Lauren) and David (Rachael); grandchildren, Maxwell, Tessa, Avery, Ryan and Simon; brother, Charles Davis (Sheila); brother-in-law, Mike Hoffman (Elizabeth); loving cousins, nieces and nephews. Roberta was an active member of Adath Jeshurun Congregation and a volunteer for NCJW & JFCS.  An avid bridge and mahjong player, her greatest love was spending time with family and friends and being proud of her grandchildren. Roberta loved to socialize and could strike up a conversation with anyone she met.  Over the years she enjoyed tennis, golf, bridge, theater and concerts.  Roberta spent many years as a high school English teacher (and never stopped correcting grammar) and transitioned to becoming a successful salesperson in multiple industries.
