Richard S. "Dick" Goldman

died peacefully at home on September 24, 2026 at the age of 85. He was a long time Florida resident born and raised in Minneapolis. Dick was the second child of Fanny and Max Goldman. His parents and his older sister, Eileen preceded him.

Dick was an active, bright kid who made friends easily and kept them. He graduated from Washburn High School in June 1959 and left shortly thereafter for active duty in the US Army. He completed his active duty service in December of 1959 and enrolled at the University Minnesota starting in January 1960. He graduated with a degree in business administration in 1963.

He started his career in '63 as a stock broker in Minneapolis. His hard work and investing skill led to his development of a loyal, growing client base. Additionally he started buying and managing commercial and residential real estate. His real estate success led to him deciding that was where he needed to focus all his attention. Dick founded Gremar Investments to manage his real estate business interests full time in the late 1960's.

He lived a full and productive life. Apart from his successful business career he enjoyed collecting art, classic and "muscle" cars and fishing and pheasant hunting with life long friends. He also took particular interest in supporting many worthy causes. His little known philanthropy efforts, over many years, brought special joy and meaning to his life.

Dick and his wife, Susan were married for 34 years. He is survived by Susan; sons, Greg and Mark, from his first marriage; two step-daughters, Debbie and Jaime; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made, in Dick's name, to Jewish Family and Children's Services of Minnesota.

A private family service will be held.
