Dr. Phillip Bloom Obituary (1933 - 2017)

Dr. Phillip M. Bloom, age 84. Beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Preceded in death by parents, Harry & Lee Bloom; brother, Marvin Bloom; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Fay & Leonard Ribnick. Survived by loving wife of 57 years, Bobby Bloom; children, Andy (Cyndi) Bloom, Greg (Lavonne) Bloom, Sherry (Jim) Rudin, David (Joanne) Bloom; loving grandchildren, Jessie, Alex, Kaitlin, Erin, Abby, Jacob, Harrison & Haylee; sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law, Cathy Bloom, Harold & Eileen Scherling, Brian & Sandy Salita & his beloved dog Eddie. Phil graduated from University of Minnesota Medical School with a specialty in Nephrology. He was a pioneer in kidney transplant and dialysis. He was devoted to his family, patients & friends. Funeral service FRIDAY, August 4th, 1:00 PM, at BETH EL SYNAGOGUE, 5225 Barry Street. St. Louis Park. SHIVA: Sunday, Monday & Tuesday 7 pm at Beth El Synagogue. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
