N. Robert "Bob" Barman Obituary (1926 - 2015)

N. Robert "Bob" Barman of Edina, MN, passed away August 29th, 2015. Preceded in death by parents, Irving and Martha Barman. Survived by wife, Doris “Dorie”; children, Bill, John (Cindy), Tom (Amanda); grandchildren, Cassidy, Olivia, and Natalie; brother, Stan (Betty). Bob was a kind man with a keen mind and wit. In his late teens he became a professional jazz musician and was an accomplished alto sax and clarinet player. Bob graduated from Drake University with an MBA in economics and finance. His career led him and his family to MN in 1972. Bob was an avid sailor and longtime member of the Wayzata Yacht Club. He also enjoyed tennis, photography, his bearded collies, reading, and chocolate. Most importantly he loved being a husband and father. Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Assn. Services have been held.
