Nettie Levin Obituary (1911 - 2014) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota

Nettie Levin, age 102 of Minneapolis, passed away March 26th. Nettie was a Registered Nurse for more than 50 years in long-term care in Minneapolis, running a number of nursing facilities and was well-known for her nursing skills and commitment to helping others. She was cherished by her immediate family for her countless kindnesses to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who fondly remember her famous fried chicken and potato salad, Italian meatballs, kugel, tzimmes and latkes. Her wise counsel in times of stress, strong work ethic and devotion to family and friends will forever be remembered by all who knew her. Nettie was never too busy to send a card or gift for birthdays, bar or bat mitzvah and weddings. Nettie is preceded in death by her husband Leonard; sisters Fay Feldman, Sarah Taub, Rose Ratner, Esther Levin and Bella Markowitz. Nettie is survived by sons Herbert Levin and Michael (Linda) Levin; grandchildren Joshua (Deborah), Brianna Levin and Nicole(Leon) Weil; great-grandchildren Jazz Levin, Ariela Weil and Max Weil. Graveside service to be held at Mount Sinai Cemetery, Omaha, NE. Memorials are preferred to the Adath Jeshurun Congregation, 10500 Hillside Lane W., Minnetonka, MN 55305.
