Monroe R. Segal Obituary (1919 - 2009)

Monroe Segal, of St. Louis Park, MN died Thursday, December 10th. Survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Helen; loving sons, Conrad and Fred (Pam); 7 grandchildren, Rebecca, Jacob, Max, Joshua, Michael, Isabelle and Zachary; and sister in-law, Karla Schwartz (Michael). Monroe was preceded in death by parents, Sarah and Conrad Segal; and 7 siblings. Monroe was born January 1st, 1919 in North Minneapolis and graduated from North High. Monroe was a loving and devoted husband, father, grand- father, brother, and friend. Proudly Jewish, he was a lifelong member of Kennesseth Israel Synagogue, a member of B'nai B'rith and an ardent supporter of the State of Israel. In his career he most enjoyed his 13 years selling cars for Hansord Pontiac, where he was known as "Wide Track" Monroe, and he also worked for over 25 years for Penco Graphic Supply; his sons business. Funeral service FRIDAY (TODAY), 1:00PM, UNITED HEBREW BROTHERHOOD CEMETERY CHAPEL, 70 1/2 and Thomas, Richfield. Memorials preferred to Kennesseth Israel or donors preferred charity.
