Monroe Hodroff Obituary (1922 - 2014) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota

Monroe Hodroff, age 92, of Minneapolis, passed away September 12, 2014. Monroe was a loving husband, father and family man. He loved God and prayed everyday. Monroe made his livelihood as an expert and professional grocer. Monroe and Colleen owned four successful grocery stores in the Minneapolis area. Monroe’s philosophy was to always put the customer first. He would say that if you take care of your customers they will take care of you. This philosophy has served his family well. His passion and legacy was to serve and help people. Monroe was a great man, loving and compassionate husband and father, he will be missed. Monroe was born on January 13, 1922 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is survived by his loving wife, Colleen Ison-Hodroff. They were married for 55 wonderful years. They have nine children, Jeff Hodroff, Gregg Hodroff, Vicki LaHay, Melanie Hodroff, Stacy Hodroff, Brett Hodroff, Dawn Chase, Scott Simmons, who is deceased, and Rick Simmons. Monroe and Colleen have 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service SUNDAY 1:00 PM, MINNEAPOLIS JEWISH CEMETERY CHAPEL, 70 ½ & Penn Ave., Richfield.
