Moisey Gekker Obituary (1939 - 2020) - Minneapolis, Minnesota

Moisey Gekker, May 13, 1939 – July 4, 2020. Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Born in Crimea, he immigrated to the United States in 1979. He served in the Russian navy on the Baltic Sea and studied engineering at Lvov University in Ukraine. He designed thousands of electrical panels and loved working on cars. Preceded in death by parents, Avraham and Miriam Gekker, brother Nahum Gekker, and sister Emma Fridman. Survived by dedicated wife of 52 years, Genya Gekker, daughter Alla (Rafi) Geretz of Minnesota; grandchildren, Anna (Dovid) Stern, Talie Geretz, Sofie Geretz, Alex Geretz; great-grandchildren, Reuven and Pinchas Stern. Graveside Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on SUNDAY, July 5th at ADATH YESHURUN CEMETERY, 5605 France Ave. S., Edina. Masks are required. The family requests no flowers.
