Miriam Kline, died April 29, 2016 at the age of 101.
Predeceased by husband Eugene. Survived by daughter Gela Kline-Streit (Allan)
and son Barie (Laurie) and grandchildren Jeanette and Benjamin.
"Keep your friends close. Do what you love to do. Take care of your health."
(MK)
Education and college in hometown of Youngstown, OH and Hebrew University,
Palestine (1932-33).
Joined in love for 68 years by her adventurous husband, Eugene. Her inner
strength steered their ship, while his free spirit and wanderlust broke the
waves. The whirlwind of their life calmed around her by the order and direction
she imposed with clear vision.
Newly wed, she found her way in Pittsburgh despite Eugene's WWII deployment. On
to New York for a professional life of teaching Hebrew while raising her two
children, Gela and Barie. Then chose to retire and make Aliyah with her
soulmate to Israel, the Land she explored as a teenager before statehood, and
where they pursued art, friendship, and culture. And finally, to Minneapolis
where she was curious, independent, and determined to the end.
Her spirit touched many lives along the way with her calm reassuring manner.
Confident and comfortable in her own skin, her wise and insightful mind will
live on in those she inspired by her persistence, planning, and will. A
purposeful and meaningful life drove her forward.
A problem solver at heart, age did not dampen her intellect or desire to learn,
like taking up the violin after a 70 year hiatus. Nor could cancer diminish her
generous spirit or her sense of style. Even at 100,
she always knew exactly what she wanted and what was important.
Charitable contributions of choice preferred.
