Maxine F. "Mitzie" (Pritzker) Kaplan, age 82 of Rancho Mirage, CA. formerly of St. Paul , passed away August 8, 2010. Recently preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Bernard W. Kaplan. Survived by son, Robert (Marina Baroff) Kaplan; daughter, Francee (Joshua Ludwick) Kaplan; grandchildren, Meredith Lenci, and Garrett Lenci, both of Santa Rosa, Ca. and Melanie Kaplan of La Jolla. Sisters Alys Yarmo and Jeanne Silverman; brother, Edward Pritzker; sisters-in-law, Frances Salper and Mickey Kaplan; numerous nieces and nephews. Mitzie was a true lady and cared for her family with great love. She has alway been a lover of books, writing, and an avid crossword maven. She will be dearly missed. Graveside service THURSDAY 2 PM, TEMPLE OF AARON CEMETERY, Dale at Larpenteur, Roseville. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Friends of the Palm Springs Library, 300 South Sunrise Way, Palm Springs, CA 92262. SHIVA Thursday, 7 PM, Temple of Aaron Synagogue , 616 So.
