Maurice "Moe" Goldstein Obituary (1939 - 2024)

Maurice "Moe" Goldstein, of Minneapolis, passed away February 15, 2024, 3 days shy of his 85th birthday. Preceded in death by parents, Sam & Elsie Goldstein. Survived by brother, Gerald (Naomi) of New York City; and sons, Adam, Barry (Laura), and Chad (Shannon); and beloved grandchildren, Sam, Melanie, Eve, and Ruby. Moe had a big personality, a great smile and lived a very interesting life. He grew up on the Northside of Minneapolis. He studied at the University of Minnesota and was a teacher at North High, a restaurant owner, a professional wrestler, and later in life a contract administrator for the State of California where he lived for almost 30 years. He loved his MN Gophers, spending time with his boys, a good steak, and a nice whiskey. He will be greatly missed. Funeral service 1:00 pm, MONDAY, February 19, 2024, MINNEAPOLIS JEWISH CEMETERY CHAPEL, 7032 Penn Ave. S., Richfield. SHIVA 7:00 pm, Monday, Sharei Chesed Congregation, 1712 Hopkins Crossroad, Minnetonka. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Sharei Chesed Congregation.
