Martin Harris

Martin Harris, age 78, of Minnetonka, MN passed peacefully at home due to kidney failure on 8/18/2021 surrounded by loved ones. A Massachusetts native, Marty retained his Boston accent to the end, even after moving to Minnesota 46 years ago. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Kay Harris (Levy); daughters, Hope (Ron) Lichtsinn and Michelle (Judd) Gilats; and grandchildren, Ryland, Gavin, Samantha, and Noah. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Harris; his mother, Lillian Harris Garston; and step-father, Lewis Garston, as well as many loving aunts and uncles. Marty was a loving husband, wonderful father, and doting grandfather. He was proud of the successful commercial real estate business he ran with Kay. He was a kind and generous soul with a huge smile and a hearty laugh, and he gave the best bear hugs. He believed in planning for the “what ifs” and instilled that skill in his kids. He loved the ocean, eating out at restaurants, desserts with his grandkids, and chatting with everyone he met.
