Marjorie Faith Stempel

Marjorie Faith Stempel, age 76, of Minneapolis passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024 in the warm embrace of her family. Margie, Mom, Mommy, Mama Bear, American Mami, Gramina was preceded in death by parents, Henry and Rae Kaplan. Survived by husband, Jerry; daughters, Rebecca (Philipp) and Amanda (John); granddaughters, Sophia and Leda; and sister, Myrna Kaplan. Her passions for teaching, the Minneapolis Institute of Art, traveling the world, reading, book group, craft group and Monday canasta were endless but her greatest passions of all were for her beloved husband of 50 years, her children and her grandchildren. Her hallmarks were her bright smile, her red lipstick and her motto: “You do what you have to do”. In the words of a dear friend, she was a woman of valor, a champion among all, a gracious loving human. Her memory will be a blessing to all who had the privilege to know her. Funeral service 2:00 PM on SUNDAY, May 19th at BETH EL SYNAGOGUE, 5225 Barry St. W., St. Louis Park. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to the Angel Foundation of MN.
