Marcella Miles,age 81, of Minneapolis. Preceded in death by husband, Harry; parents, Adolph and Sophia. Survived by son, Franklin; daughter, Gretchen (Dana) Norgren; brother, Herman & wife, Peggy; sister-in-law, Jackie & husband, Mort; dear cousins, Ruth & Mort Weisberg, Mona Armel, Marlene & Herman Rice; also cousins, Andrea, Dan, Noah, Larry, Lori, Sophia, Arianna, Gloria, Mark, Edward, Ron; nieces, nephews and numerous friends; and her beloved dog “Lucky” and her wonderful grand Golden’s. Marcella fiercely independent to her last breath, was a kind compassionate empathetic and selfless woman. Her generous spirit, sense of fairness and tender heart was evidenced in her rapport with children and care of animals. She loved and respected nature and all of life. She was the most beautiful flower in her garden. She shared her produce with everyone and was so proud. Marcella was cognizant of all peoples and animals needs; for example: if she knew you loved “bunnies” and Disney characters, she would buy you them. Marcy was loving, and kind in all her ways even to her very last moment – with what little strength she had, she was gracious and accommodating with a cheerful hello and smile at the hospital – that’s Marcy. Marcella was a loved and respected mother, mother-in-law, friend, cousin, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, and wife. Marcy and husband, Harry were truly soulmates, always inseparable in life and now forever in eternity. She was truly a “Mensch”, a Yiddish term translated to mean the best a person can hope to be! Thanks mom for being a great role model and giving all of us a special piece of you for safekeeping until we meet once again. If the world had more mom’s like ours, we would need no animal shelters or humane societies, no prisons or nursing homes. She was 100% good. She truly viewed everyone as equals and had no facades. Her ‘upbeat’ persona was contagious. Since I believe there are no coincidences, when I was saying my final earthly farewell to mom, two large fireworks appeared in the sky, giving a final farewell to a beautiful, fun loving and most loved “Geetah Nashuma”, translated to mean good soul. Mom, have a good trip and I know you’ll be a blessing for us all forever – So Long, ‘til we meet again. Graveside service TUESDAY 11 AM, CHESED SHEL EMES CEMETERY, Christie Place at Hazelwood, St. Paul. Memorials preferred to the Animal Humane Society of Golden Valley or donor’s favorite charity.
