Manya Sherman

Manya Sherman, age 94 of Golden Valley, a Holocaust survivor, passed away November 9, 2017. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and sister. She lived a life of Jewish values. She was an amazingly strong and powerful woman who took great pride in her family. She is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Max Sherman, daughter Nancy Novak, and sisters Lonia Kuperman and Saba Haubenstock. Manya is survived by daughter Elaine (Howard) Rubin, son-in-law Les Novak; grandchildren Heidi (Brian) Pergament, Shani (Sam) Graber, David (Danielle) Rubin, and Dori (Rick Thomas) Rubin; great-grandchildren Pearl, Sol, Abe, Abby, and Louie; sister Regina Siedman; brother-in-law Mike (Adele) Sherman; many beloved nieces & nephews, and her dear friend Peggy Bloom. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. SUNDAY, November 12th , at TEMPLE ISRAEL, 2323 Fremont Ave. S., Minneapolis. Memorials preferred to Temple Israel. SHIVA 7:00 p.m. Sunday and Monday at Temple Israel.
