Louise Goldberg Copeland

Louise Copeland (née Goldberg), age 83, of Los Angeles, CA, passed away on June 6, 2024. Louise was born in St. Paul, MN, to Hyman and May (Rom) Goldberg and was the youngest of three children. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mark; parents; and siblings, Nancy Calvin and Marly Goldberg. While Louise was devastated by Mark’s passing, she continued to make a positive impact while remaining close to family and friends. Louise was an accomplished and beloved teacher, having received many awards and accolades. Her biggest achievements were in the relationships she cultivated, many lasting a lifetime. Her students continued to reach out to her and remained connected throughout her life. Following her retirement, she opened Louise Copeland’s Tutoring Thyme in Brentwood and remained seeing students until 2 years ago. Louise is survived by her adored dog, Buddy; stepson, Craig; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. The outpouring of heartfelt stories has been comforting. Memorial service to be announced at a later date.
