Leonard E. Atlas Obituary (1923 - 2012) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota

Leonard E. Atlas, age 89, passed away on December 5th. Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, Leonard lived his life to the fullest, with class, dignity and with pride for his work and his family. As a father, Leonard raised four loving daughters who meant everything to him. He worked as a business executive for over 50 years in various real estate enterprises throughout Florida. Leonard worked with some of the most successful developers of the 60s, 70s and 80s. Along the way, Leonard made sure he experienced all that life had to offer-traveling, reading and enjoying his love for Miami Beach. He proudly served his country by fighting in combat in World War II (France and Germany) and The Korean War. Leonard is survived by daughters Roni Atlas (Neil Rosenthal), Jami Tish (Robert), Debi Cashman (Michael) and Dani Gotlieb (David); grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica, and Jocelyn Handelman, Deanie Yuska (Jordan), Barie and Abbie Tish, Jaclyn and Adam Grossfield, Joey and Jason Finkelstein; great grandson, Charlie Yuska. Funeral service 10:00 AM FRIDAY, December 7th , at HODROFF-EPSTEIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 126 East Franklin Ave., Mpls. SHIVA 6:30 PM Saturday, December 8th at Sholom Home West, 3620 Phillps Parkway, St. Louis Park.
