Leah Cohen

Leah Cohen, of Minneapolis and New York City. Preceded in death by husband, Frank Cohen; daughter, Andrea Louise Cohen and brothers Wallace and Gerald Gess. She is survived by her sister, Barbara Simmons; son, Rabbi Miles B. Cohen (Leslie); grandsons, Uriel E. Cohen (Stacey) and Nataniel E. Cohen; great-grandson, Noah Ishai Cohen and many devoted nieces and nephews. Leah will be remembered for her strength in the face of more than her share of life's adversities and her ability to rise above them with a beautiful smile. She was a master of knitting, sewing, crocheting, and countless other kinds of handwork. Gracious and intelligent, Leah was an eshet hayil who was completely devoted to her children. Funeral service WEDNESDAY 2:30 PM, HODROFF-EPSTEIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 126 E. Franklin Ave., Minneapolis. Memorials preferred to Beth El Synagogue. SHIVA will be observed on Wednesday, 7:00PM and Thursday, 7:00AM at Beth El Synagogue, 5224 West 26th Street, St. Louis Park, and then at Leah's son's residence in New York.
