Kaye Spector Efron

Kaye Spector Efron, age 78, of Minneapolis, died January 19, 2015 peacefully after an accident. Preceded in death by parents, Bernard and Shirley Efron; brother-in-law, Donald Spector; niece, Mollie Jo McIlvain; beloved granddaughter, Zoё Bee Makovetsky; and cherished husband of 54 years, Mitchell (Mickey) Spector. Survived by son, Joel Spector (Takako); daughter, Sally Spector (Alex Makovetsky); grandsons, Max and Eli Makovetsky; sister, Barbara McIlvain (Greg); niece, Erin Ardison (Mike) and new great-grandniece, Hadley Mac. A loving sister, wife, mother, aunt, and friend, Kaye took wonderful care of her family and made an important difference as a volunteer for Women in Service to Education (WISE) (25 years), Neighborhood Improvement Program Community Clinic (15 years), and the Fairview Hospital Breast Center (3 months). A memorial service celebrating Kaye’s life will be held TUESDAY 11 AM at TEMPLE ISRAEL, 2324 Emerson Avenue South, Minneapolis. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to The Kaye and Mickey Spector Fund for Fun, Lake Country School, 3755 Pleasant Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55409.
