Judyth "Judy" Babette Katz (Bierman) Obituary (1938 - 2024)

Age 85 of Eagan passed away on 1/29/24. Preceded in death by husband, Robert N. Katz of 42 years; parents, Charles and Irene (Boosel) Bierman; stepmother, Leontine (Robitschek) Bierman; son, Richard N. Katz. Survived by son, Barry (Esther Granbois) Katz; daughter, Geri (Brian Elliott) Katz; grandsons, Ravi and Charlie; brother, Laurence (Anita) Bierman; nieces; nephews; grand-nieces. She graduated in 1956 from Washburn High School, attended the University of Minnesota, worked in marketing and advertising for Minneapolis-based Munsingwear. Judy served as a board member of Neighborhood House, and the Sisterhood of Mount Zion Temple, and volunteered for many public school and community organizations. Judy was a devoted wife, mom, grandma, aunt and friend. We will miss her unique sense of humor and love for her family. Memorial service 1:30 P.M THURSDAY, February 1st at MOUNT ZION TEMPLE, 1300 Summit Ave., St Paul. Service will also be live streamed at mzion.org. SHIVA 7:00 PM on Thursday at Mount Zion Temple. Memorials preferred to the Mitzvah Food Shelf of Mount Zion Temple, Neighborhood House, or Washburn High School Foundation.
