John Levine Obituary (2008) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota

Levine, John age 72 of St. Louis Park died on October 13th. Loving and devoted husband, father and papa. Preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Marian. Survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Marcia; children, Jimmy and Stephanie Levine, Karen and Rob Lager; grandchildren, Josh, Elana, Maya, Matthew and Sophia. John was an attorney at Dorsey since 1961 after graduating from Yale Law School . He was very active in the Minnesota State Bar Association, Hennepin County Bar Association and Hennepin County Volunteer Lawyers Network; receiving multiple awards for his service and dedication. An alumnus of Carleton College , he was a dedicated supporter serving as a Trustee of the College and President of the Alumni Association. His interests were varied, and he served on the Hennepin County Library Foundation and was a member of the Walker Art Center board. He appreciated art, theater, and Scottsdale winters, and was an avid sportsman. Most of all he loved and cherished time with his family. Funeral Service Thursday 2:00 at Temple Israel , 2324 Emerson Avenue South , Minneapolis . Gathering of friends and family at Temple Israel on Saturday at 7:00.
