Jill Susan Rotman

JILL SUSAN ROTMAN, passed away on May 17, 2013, days after celebrating her 53rd birthday on May 3. Jill is survived by daughter Carly and husband L.J., the loves of her life; mother Gerri Maisel (Stan); sister Judy Laner (Joel Cornfield); stepbrothers Greg Maisel (Darla), Bob Maisel (Bella); mother and father-in-law Louise & Jerry Rotman; brother-in-law Mark Rotman (Cathy); sister-in-law Laura Folven (Jim); aunt and uncles Sandy & Jim Rutzick and Art Weisberg; many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and an incredible collection of great and lasting friends. Jill was predeceased by father Harvey Hymes, brother Scott Hymes, grandparents Blanche & Frank Hymes, Dick & Gert Gotesman and Harvey Metcalf. Jill was a breast cancer survivor who, for over 20 years, served as an inspiration and mentor to countless women who came after her to battle this insidious disease. As Jill characterized herself, she was the "luckiest unlucky person I know." Jill's family and friends are eternally grateful to all of the medical professionals and caregivers who helped Jill in her long and brave fight. Funeral services 11 a.m. MONDAY, May 20, 2013 at TEMPLE ISRAEL, 2324 Emerson Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN. In lieu of flowers, Jill's family prefers donations to either Piper Breast Center or J.A.
