Jerome S. Alch

Jerome S. Alch, age 90 of Minneapolis, formerly of Los Angeles, CA. died November 5, 2018. Jerome was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Jerome was a proud graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Journalism in 1950, he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He then went on to become a successful insurance executive in Los Angeles, CA. Jerome enjoyed sports, track, golfing and coaching baseball. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hyman and Muriel Alch, brother Robert (Sandra) Alch, and brother-in-law, Oren Steinfeldt. Survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Janice; sons, David, William and Thomas (Pam); grandchildren, Rebecca, Jennifer, Ryan, Shane, Sean, and Kelli; great-granddaughter, Eleanor; sister-in-law, Sharron Steinfeldt and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service 10:30 a.m. FRIDAY, November 9th at TEMPLE ISRAEL, 2323 Fremont Ave. So., Mpls. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Sholom Home or the donor’s favorite charity.
