Janet "Jan" Caroline Jackson Obituary (1940 - 2023)

The "Original" Janet Jackson (Jan), age 83 of St. Paul, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 with family by her side, overlooking her beloved pond. Raised on West 7th Street, she attended Monroe Community School. She earned a Master of Education from the U of M and worked as a special education art teacher. Jan was a prolific & award winning artist. She embraced her entrepreneurial spirit, partnering with her then husband, James Druck in various endeavors such as race horses, casinos and malls. Jan is survived by her children, Susannah (Pat) Kyle and Tony Druck; grandchildren, Ruby and Sam Kyle; ex-husband, James Druck; cousins, Dick Cohen and Cathy Rosenholtz; special friends, Mary J, Dave H, Mark M, Neil S, Jim M, Lina G, Reg M, Kate A, Dawn Marie, the Thompson family & many ACOR/NETS friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Odean and Cathryn Jackson; cousins, Bobby, Bob and Cindy Cohen; cousins, Jackie and Marvel; and sister-in-law, Linda Druck. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Synergy Home Care of Eagan and MN Hospice. Memorial Service 2:00 PM on FRIDAY, December 15th at MOUNT ZION TEMPLE, 1300 Summit Ave, St. Paul and livestreamed at mzion.org. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Open Arms MN or Second Harvest Heartland. Shiva 7:00 PM on December 16th (location to be announced at funeral).
