Dr. James "Jim" Samuel Guerrero Obituary (1937 - 2020)

It is with profound sadness that the family of Dr. James " Jim " Samuel Guerrero announce his passing on August 29th 2020 due to complications from Parkinson’s Disease. Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 28 years, Judy Orren Guerrero and son Robby; his children from a prior marriage: Justin Kingston, Jamie (Vickie)Kingston, Jessi Kingston (Barry Schwabe) and Jenna Cooper: grandchildren; Alexis, Page and Kennedy; great granddaughter Khari; sister: Nina Rupp; mother in-law Sally Orren: brother and sister in-laws; Danny and Francine Orren and David and Marna Orren; as well as numerous relatives and friends. Jim is preceded in death by his loving parents James and Anne Guerrero and brother in-law Jerry Rupp. After serving as a medic in the United States Army during the Tet Offensive, Jim became a psychiatrist who dedicated his life helping those suffering from mental illness. Outside of work Jim was a voracious reader who was always eager to learn new things. Jim enjoyed time with his family downhill skiing, hiking, gardening , watching movies, eating spicy food and going on weekly shopping trips with his eldest physically disabled son until Parkinson’s limited his own mobility. Due to COVID-19, a private family graveside service will take place on Tuesday, September 1st. Zoom Shiva services will take place 7:00 PM September 1st & 2nd.
