Irving L. Marcus Obituary (1925 - 2011)

Irving L. Marcus, age 86, of Edina. Irving passed away December 7, 2011. He was born May 11, 1925 in Minneapolis and graduated from North High School. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Sylvia Abramovitch Marcus, and her siblings, Jay, Lee and Idell. Survived by loving daughters, Leslee Marcus and Sharee Marcus (Duncan Lasley); grandsons Michael Gruesner (Terri) and Brandon Marcus; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Julia, Jack, Emma and Morgan; sister-in-law, Lucille Abramovitz; and nieces, nephews and friends. Throughout his life Irving spent many years wintering in Arizona. He was a career insurance salesman with lasting relationships with his clients. A Veteran of WWII, Irving served our country stationed in Guam. A special thank you to the caregivers at N.C. Little Hospice, Methodist Hospice and Synergy Home Health Care. Funeral service SUNDAY, 1:30 PM, MINNEAPOLIS JEWISH CEMETERY CHAPEL, 70 ½ and Penn Ave. S., Richfield. Memorials preferred to Donor’s favorite charity.
