Helen T. Beaubaire

Helen T. Beaubaire died peacefully in her sleep on March 8 at Jones-Harrison Residence at the age of 95. She was preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Gazella Kantar; and her brothers, Bruce, Herbert and Robert Kantar. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 72 years, Glenn. Helen and Glenn were inseparable. She is also survived by daughters, Nancy (Steve Cohen), Susan (Leonard Lichtblau, fiancé), Bonnie (Kevin Lorenson, partner); and her son, Thomas (Liz Bardon); as well as grandchildren, Alanna & Lauren Beaubaire and Jay & Nolan Bloyer. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Helen was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Nothing mattered more to her than family. In 1945, Helen received a Bachelor of Arts degree (cum laude, Spanish and Art, University of Minnesota). In her forties Helen went back to school, earning a Master's degree in Special Education, and developed software to help students with special learning needs. She also tutored children with learning disabilities at both Breck and Blake schools. Throughout life Helen enjoyed reading, walks around the lakes, gardening and loved going on trips with her family. Funeral service 10:30 am, TUESDAY, March 12, ADATH YESHURUN CEMETERY CHAPEL, 5605 France Ave., Edina. Memorials preferred to the Beaubaire Family Fund at Adath Jeshurun Congregation or donor's favorite charity. SHIVA will be held at 7 PM on March 12 and 13 at 5712 Schaefer Road, Edina, MN 55436.
