Harriet Jacobs

Harriet Jacobs, (nee Michlin) “Mickie”, age 84, of Golden Valley passed away peacefully on November 12, 2015. Harriet was especially known for her loving kindness and generosity to everyone who met her. People were instantly drawn to her warmth and enthusiasm for life. She was a gift to everyone who knew and loved her. She was a wonderful loving mother, baubie, sister, aunt and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Harriet is proceeded in death by parents, Myer and Esther Michlin; husbands, Melivn Leifman and Philip Jacobs; brother, Jason Michlin and daughter-in-law, Karen Siegel-Jacobs. Survived by sibilings, Allen Michlin and Aileen (Don) Herstein; children, Matthew Jacobs, Jenna Leifman, Raulie Jacobs, Laurie Kaye (Murray) and Jenny (Mike) Shortridge; grandchildren, Leah, Naomi (Rewis), Daniel (Sarah), Loren, Allison, Zachary, four great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. The family is extremely grateful to the staff at Sholom Hospice (Karen, Kelly and Mattie) and Bob Solheim and the staff at N.C Little Memorial Hospice for their amazing support during this difficult time. Funeral service FRIDAY 1:30 PM, BETH EL SYNAGOGUE, 5225 Barry St. W., St. Louis Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to www.littlehospice.org or www.ALZ.org. Gathering of family & friends at 2208 Ford Road, Minnetonka, Saturday 7 pm and SHIVA at Beth El Synagogue, Sunday 7 pm.
