Glenn Charney, age 75 of Minnetonka passed away October 31, 2015, from complications due to ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). Ironically, Glenn was also a home run hitter and went on to play baseball and football at the University of Kansas. He is preceded in death by his parents Harry & Emma. Survived by daughter Lori Charney (Robin Schribman); son Allan (Allison); grandchildren Drew, Mason and Eli Charney; sister Sandi (Nate) Rosenbaum. Glenn was born in St. Paul and raised on the “West Side” where he was always proud to take you down memory lane or in his case, Isabel Street. Glenn was a humble, dignified man and a dedicated employee for over 37 years at Lieberman Companies. His customers always came first. He loved to golf and pick up from Cecil’s Deli. He also enjoyed driving to Stockholm, WI for pies at the Stockholm Pie Company, get bread from the Smiling Pelican Bakeshop and watch the eagles soar over Lake Pepin. He was always up for a road trip where he loved the open road and all of the scenery on the way. His exuberant spirit and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May your wings soar like the eagles and your road be ever winding with an abundance of good finds along the way. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. TUESDAY at TEMPLE ISRAEL , 2324 Emerson Ave. So..
