Gertrude Spector Shiller (nee Laitz) Obituary (1919 - 2013)

Age 93 of Mendota Hts. Preceded in death by parents, Mary and Samuel Laitz; husbands, Jack Spector and Ray Shiller; sisters, Sally Rose and Eva Laitz; brothers, Jack and Dave Laitz. Survived by children, Carrie (Jerry) Gottstein, Joe (Kathy) Spector and Bob Spector (Chris Meyers); grandchildren, Jeff (Lisa) Gottstein, Dan (Amy) Gottstein, Debbie (Mike) Malitz, Jacob and Max Spector, Ari, Rachel and Rebecca Spector; great-grandchildren, Max and Andrew Gottstein, Owen and Micah Gottstein and Lily, Emma and Zachary Malitz; brother, Leo Laitz and loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was loved by all who knew her. Her disease never robbed her of her dignity, charm, sense of humor, zest for life and her ability to express in words and action the love she felt for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A special thanks to her dear friend and caregiver, Nancy Calvin and the staff at The Wellstead of Rogers for their loving care and compassion. Funeral service SUNDAY 9:30AM at BETH EL SYNAGOGUE, 5225 W Barry St., St. Louis Park. Burial at Temple of Aaron Cemetery, Larpenter and Dale, St Paul.
