Gertrude Pirnie Obituary (1929 - 2022)

Daughter of Cecil and Sarah Meltz and was born and raised in North Minneapolis. Gertie graduated from North High School and then shortly after moved to Manhattan to attend Mt. Sinai School of Nursing where she obtained an RN. Trudie married and had three sons and a daughter all raised in Englewood, NJ. Trudie worked as a nurse in New York and New Jersey for many years where she received an MS in nursing, and at her retirement, worked for the Bergen County, NJ Department of Public Health. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Danny & Mehee, Seth & Joyce, Richie & Shari, Dina & Josh; nine grandchildren, Nathaniel, Rebecca, Noah, Hallie, Carly, Ruthie, Talia, Mae and Caleb; three great-grandchildren, Oliver, Jack and Miles; and sister, Elaine Teune. She is loved and will be forever missed. Graveside service 1:00 pm on FRIDAY, September 23rd at UNITED HEBREW BROTHERHOOD CEMETERY, 2605 W. 70 ½ St., Richfield. Service will be available on zoom.
