Fredrica "Ricky" Weiss Obituary (1940 - 2021)

Fredrica "Ricky" (Rossen) Weiss, age 80, of Minneapolis, passed away July 19, 2021. Preceded in death by parents, Ralph and Beatrice Rossen; sister, Arlene Cardozo. Survived by husband, David J. Weiss; daughter, Ralee Riesenberg; son, Benjamin Weiss; granddaughter, Pippa Riesenberg. Ricky taught kindergarten at Adams Elementary School in Minneapolis and was a lifelong volunteer in areas ranging from adoption to health causes to anti-poverty work. Funeral service will be 1:30 pm, FRIDAY, July 23rd, in the Garden Mausoleum at Lakewood Cemetery, 3600 Hennepin Ave. S., Minneapolis. The funeral is also available on Zoom, by sending an email to zoom3@hodroffepstein.com. The family will greet those attending from 1:00 – 1:30. Memorials preferred to your favorite social services charitable organization serving Minnesota's Native American, Black, or refugee communities.
