Frances "Fran" Weintraub Obituary (1965 - 2021)

Frances (Fran) Weintraub, age 56, of Fargo, ND, formerly of Palatine, IL, passed away on June 24, 2021. She is survived by husband, Bret Weintraub; children, Isaac, Forrest, and Rena; parents, Karl and Elaine Herman; and siblings, Ann Wayne and Erik Herman. Fran graduated from Illinois State University in 1987 with a degree in Biology and received an MD from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in 1991. She pursued a career in Pediatrics, beginning in private practice, and later working for North Oakland Medical Center in Pontiac, MI and Meriter Hospital in Madison, WI. Her love and passion for children was evident in everything she did. She was a caring mother and wife, later devoting herself full-time to raising her children. She met her husband Bret in 1996. Fran enjoyed many interests. She loved hiking, flower gardening, bird watching, and visiting the national parks. She was a La Leche League leader and became a certified Lactation Consultant. For fun, she taught a fitness class at the YMCA and became a tutor at Sylvan Learning Center. Fran’s devotion to family and friends was evident to all who knew her. Her untimely death from cancer has taken a beautiful spirit from us, and she will be sorely missed. Funeral service 11:00 am, MONDAY, June 28, 2021, HODROFF-EPSTEIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 126 E.
