Fay Leader Obituary (2008)

Fay Leader, born June 16, 1920. Died peacefully April 22, 2008 after a lengthy battle with COPD. Preceded in death by loving husband, Joe Leader; brother, Eugene Higgins. Beloved mother of Jackie, Jeffrey (Terri) and Judith Leader; stepson, Larry Leader and stepdaughter, Carol Tures; grandchildren, Edit (Boris) Zelkind, Tali (James), Eitan (Laura) and Sivan Benzaquen, Jacob and Rachel Leader, Jodi-lyn Couture, Greg, Mark and Matthew Tures; plus 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sister, Virginia Mosby; brother, Ted Higgins. Fay was well known in the Minneapolis Jewish Community and especially for the great food she created in the kitchens of B’nai Emet Synagogue. Many thanks to the staff at Jones Harrison Nursing Home. Funeral services THURSDAY (TODAY) 10AM B’NAI EMET SYNAGOGUE, 3115 Ottawa Ave. S., St. Louis Park. Memorials are preferred to B’nai Emet Preschool. Gathering of family and friends, 4550 Mtka.
