Eunice Gelb

Eunice Gelb, age 95, of St. Paul, passed away at home on October 5, 2023. Eunice Greenberg was born in 1928. She married Howard Gelb in 1950 and enjoyed 65 years of marriage. Eunice enrolled in the University of Minnesota law school in 1949, at a time when few women were admitted. She completed her legal education and received her law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul after her two eldest daughters were born. She and Howard subsequently had four more children. They traveled all over the world and were active in the Jewish community. Eunice had a great love of the arts and ethnic cultures. Preceded in death by her husband. Survived by her children, Susan (Randy) Blum, Joy Leibman, Douglas (Karen), Sandra (Brian) Golob, Lisa (Greg), and Daniel (Tanya); 13 grandchildren, David, Rachel (Evan), Andrew, Elizabeth, Molly, Mark (Sarah), Scott (Hannah), Laura, Miranda, Meretech, Sam, Ben, and Jason; two great-grandchildren, Oliver and Bria; and many other family and friends. Funeral service 2:30 pm FRIDAY, October 6th at MOUNT ZION TEMPLE, 1300 Summit Avenue, St. Paul. Service will also be livestreamed at mzion.org. Memorials preferred to the American Glaucoma Society or Mount Zion Temple. Shiva 8:00 pm Saturday, October 7th at Eunice's home, 2160 Upper Saint Dennis Road, St. Paul.
