Emmanuel "Manny" Kohen Obituary (1930 - 2023)

Age 93, of St. Louis Park, passed away on June 1, 2023. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Harriet Kohen. Survived by his wife of 72 years, Toby; children, Jeffrey Kohen (Deb), Bonnie Waldman (Steve), and Steve Kohen (Diane); grandchildren, Tom (Sara), Elizabeth (Morgan), Jessica (Quinn), Jake (Maddie), Joe, and Jack; and great-grandchildren, Polly, Hattie, Jameson, Kennedy, Charlie, and Hazel. Manny was an only child but had more brothers than can be counted. He was dearly loved by family and many friends. His genuine, positive, and caring personality was evident in his success as a salesman in the apparel business, sports, SOH, and South High friends. Manny was inducted to the Minnesota Softball Hall of Fame but was obsessed with golf. He was devoted to Toby, the love of his life and felt blessed by his children and grandchildren. Manny was a true mensch who led an exemplary life. Funeral service 12:00 PM on SUNDAY, June 4th at B’NAI EMET CEMETERY, 7032 Penn Ave S., Richfield. SHIVA 7:00pm on Sunday, June 4th at Bet Shalom Congregation, 13613 Orchard Rd., Minnetonka. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to donors’ choice.
