Ellen Gittleman Noll

Ellen Gittleman Noll, age 53, of Hopkins, MN, passed away unexpectedly at home on November 19, 2024. Ellen grew up in Edina and Minnetonka, graduating from Hopkins High School in 1989. At Drake University, Ellen graduated on the Dean’s List. Ellen’s life was dedicated to helping animals and volunteering for multiple animal welfare agencies. Although cut short far too soon, Ellen lived for time spent with friends and her much-loved Goldens. She will always be remembered for her thoughtfulness. In an age of e-cards and texts, Ellen never missed the opportunity to handwrite a card for every holiday and occasion. Preceded in death by her father, Lee Gittleman. Survived by her mother, Sheila Gittleman Locketz; her brother; nephew; her lifelong companion, Bobby Noll; and countless relatives and friends. Funeral service 12:00 PM Monday, November 25th at UNITED HEBREW BROTHERHOOD CEMETERY CHAPEL, 2605 W 70 1/2 St., Richfield. Shiva 5:00 PM at the home of a family friend; details will be provided at the service. In lieu of flowers, Ellen would have appreciated donations to Retrieve a Golden of the Midwest (ragom.org), where she rescued her beloved dog Sophie, or to the Jewish Association of Mental Illness Alanna Tikkun Olam Fund (templeisrael.com), which provides services and supports those with mental illness.
