Elinor "Ellie" Johnson Obituary (1934 - 2011)

Elinor “Ellie” Johnson age 77, of Eagan, passed away June 13, 2011. Preceded in death by parents Samuel & Bernice Silverman. Survived by husband, James; children Margie Gendler Marks & Michael Marks, Cheryl Beth Gendler; Terri Sue Anderson & Mark Anderson; grandchildren Andrea & Robby Erlich, Elyssa Marks, Christopher, Emily and Kyle Anderson; brother, Marvin ( Patricia) Silverman; four step-children and their families. Ellie worked much of her life in the flat glass industry, where she met Jim, as well as having owned a secretarial business, and worked at Dayton's and Marshall Field's. We cannot possibly express enough appreciation to the staff and nurses at Allina Hospice and the Minnesota Masonic Home for all their excellent care, compassion and concern for Ellie over the past three months. Funeral service WEDNESDAY 1 PM at MOUNT ZION TEMPLE, 1300 Summit Ave. St. Paul. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association, Mount Zion Temple, or donor’s favorite charity. SHIVA, 7 PM Wed. at Mount Zion Temple.
