Douglas "Doug" Smith

Douglas “Doug” Smith, age 86 passed away peacefully August 1, 2023. Preceded in death by parents, Madeline and Merlin Smith; and beloved Aunty Esther. Survived by wife of 27 years, Myra Bernick Smith; son, Douglas (Sue) Schmitz; daughter, Tracy (Johnny) Hill; grandchildren, Apryl, Zack, Brock, Andre, Jarvey, Primeau; and many special family and friends. Doug was a member of Nicollet AA for over forty years. He enjoyed pheasant hunting in the fields of Iowa with his dog, Dinky and a good round of golf with a cigar. Doug was a great guy and will be missed by all who loved him. Memorial service SUNDAY, August 6, 2023 at 1:00pm, HODROFF-EPSTEIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 126 E. Franklin Ave., Mpls.
