Claire J. Roberts Obituary (2009)

Claire Roberts, 89 years young, passed away on February 4th, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Minneapolis on January 4, 1920, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nate Roberts, parents Hinda and Joe Zuckman, and brother Butz. Surviving are her children, Gerald of San Francisco, Marc (Phyllis) of Manhattan, and Ricki (Mark Simon), sisters Tobie (Burt) Starr, Harriett (Don) Lerner, brother-in-law Al Rubinger, grandchildren Anna, Jesse, & Stacy Simon, Mia Stern, four great-grandchildren, and several dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends in Minneapolis, Palm Springs, and throughout the country. Those who knew and loved her will always remember her devotion to her family, her beauty, wit, and generosity, and her role as the glue that held the family together. Services FRIDAY (TODAY) 12 NOON, ADATH JESHURUN CONGREGATION, 10500 Hillside Lane West, Minnetonka. Memorials preferred to Roberts Family Fund at JFCS (www.jfcsmpls.org) or the donor's favorite charity. The family will be receiving family and friends Saturday evening after 7PM.
