Carolyn Faye Rovner

Our Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend Carolyn Faye Rovner passed away on January 1, 2025, age 83, surrounded by her dear family.

Born February 9, 1941, in North Minneapolis, Carolyn was a graduate of North High School and active in various extracurricular organizations. She was a “true” Jewish mother to three sons—Gregory, Douglas, and Burton. Carolyn had a deep love of family and friends throughout her life. Some of her favorite activities included making traditional Jewish recipes, band concerts at Lake Harriet, and holiday meals with family. She gave much of her time caring for her parents in their final years and she extended that passion for caregiving later in life to start a home healthcare business called Carolyn’s Taking Care.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvan and Natalie Goldstein and nephew, Howard Bressler. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Lydia Rovner of Chicago, IL, and Doug and Rachel Rovner of Golden Valley, MN (grandson Reuben) and Burt and Andrea Rovner of Plymouth, MN (grandchildren Andrew, Tyler, and Katie); brother, David (Nancy) Goldstein; sister, Susan (Steven) Bressler; brother, Bruce (Kay) Goldstein; and sister, Tami Rogan; and nieces and nephews Mike Goldstein, Bart Goldstein, Jill Goldstein, Faye Hantsche, Aaron Goldstein, Danny Goldstein, Shana Waldron, cousins, and friends whom she loved so much!

A service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 3rd at Sholom Home West, 3620 Phillips Parkway, Saint Louis Park, MN 55426.
