Age 57 of Minnetonka. Carla elegantly and courageously fought cancer for 6 years. She was a fierce friend and had innumerable adventures and laughs with her husband and children throughout her life. Preceded in death by mother, Yvette Gertz; father-in-law, Sheldon Meyers. Survived by loving husband, Greg; her loving dog, Odie and her loving children, Andy and Elissa; father, Marvin Gertz; brothers, Howard (Liz) and Greg (Dale) Gertz; mother-in-law, Marion Meyers; brothers-in-law, Steve and Tom and her special friends, the Gensler, Bolsta, Christensen and Labofsky families. Funeral service MONDAY 3PM at UNITED HEBREW BROTHERHOOD CEMETERY CHAPEL, 701/2 & Thomas Ave. S., Richfield. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance, 4604 Chicago Ave., Mpls, MN 55407 or do something in order to leave this world a better place than you found it.
