Brina Krelitz

–

St. Louis Park, Minnesota

A loving and caring woman, died July 19, 2021, at the age of 89. Preceded in death by her parents, Morris L. and Mary Cohen; husband, Milton (“Hutch”); sisters, Pearl (Herb) Garber and Esther (Raul) Rotlewicz; and brother, Jerry. She is survived by her children, Rae, Cece (Peter and Trigger), and Morris (Elvira); as well as loving cousins, nieces, and nephews. Brina grew up on Lincoln Avenue in St. Paul and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a teaching degree, though she started her working career in hotel management. Her focus was always on family and friends. An extrovert with a gift for gab and a zest for a good time. A party girl at heart—give her a drink, a microphone, and a piano and she could entertain the crowd. In her prime, she was a news junkie, an avid reader, dedicated tennis player, and serious walker. Many had the privilege of savoring Brina’s cooking and baking. For her, it was a labor of love. Despite losing her beloved Milt, her strength and resilience carried her through the years that followed. A special thank you to Above & Beyond Senior Services, Transitions Home Care, Allina Health Hospice, and Shema Home Care for providing loving care to Brina. Funeral service 10:30 AM on WEDNESDAY, July 21st at BETH EL SYNAGOGUE, 5225 Barry St. W., St. Louis Park. Funeral is also available on zoom. Email zoom1@hodroffepstein.com for link. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum or donor’s favorite charity. SHIVA 7:00 PM on Wednesday at Beth El Synagogue.
