Beverly Siegel Obituary (2008) - St. Paul, Minnesota

Siegel Beverly J. age 77 of St. Paul passed away Aug. 28th with family by her side. Preceded in death by parents, Mollie & Joe Goldrich. Survived by daughters, Debra Siegel (Bill Olsen), Shelly Siegel (George Bemel); grandchildren, Jordan and Arianna Siegel Olsen; sister, Miriam (Bob) Kleinbaum; niece & nephew, Janet Kleinbaum of NYC, Jeff Kleinbaum; and other dear family members and many friends. Bev was exceptional. She was extremely close to her daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren and was a daily part of their lives. She cherished her sister & her sister's family. She had many wonderful friends who will remember spirit and sense of humor. Bev's commitment to peace & social justice was manifest through her work, organizations, and volunteering . She was a secular humanist deeply involved in Yiddish culture & language. We can't imagine life without her but her wise words & strong values will resonate within us always. The family would like to thank Dr. Dan Schneider and staff. Funeral SUNDAY 11:00 AM BETH JACOB CONGREGATION, 1179 Victoria Curve, Mendota Hts. Memorials are preferred to Foundation for Fighting Blindness, American Cancer Society, or Yiddish Vinkl at Mpls JCC. Family & friends will gather Sunday at 534 Brimhall St., St. Paul, 55116 from 5:30PM, and Monday from 7:00 PM at 8621 W. 25th St., St. Louis Park.
