Bernice C. Falk Obituary (2008)

* * * * * * * Bernice Falk, age 94. Born in Sioux City, graduated Central High 1931, attended Morningside College before settling down to 46 years of married life with Martin Falk, producing two children. Ardent supporter of all things related to Sioux City, many charitable causes, and her Synagogue. As a widow, took over her husband's advertising specialties business, retiring at age 85. Bernice is survived by her brother, Albert Goldstein, daughter Harriette (Krasnoff) (Michael), son Allan Falk (Jacqueline), grandsons Neil Krasnoff (Irene) and Adam Krasnoff (Tracy) of whom she was very proud, and three great-grandchildren, Lauren, Paige, and Mason Krasnoff, in whom she found delight in her final years, as well as a bevy of treasured nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Contributions in memory of Bernice may be made to the American Heart Association, the Kidney Foundation, Congregation Beth Shalom of Sioux City, or North Memorial Hospice of Robbinsdale, MN--although the best way to honor her memory would be to assist or befriend a relative stranger, in an effort to make the world a better place a little at a time. Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery on FRIDAY 02/29/2008 at 1 PM to be followed by a memorial service at Congregation Beth Shalom at 1:45 PM.
